Do you need a new battery for your luxury Infiniti QX80 SUV? We've got you covered. Batteries Plus has top-quality replacement batteries for your Infiniti, including flooded and AGM batteries   from some of the best brands in the business, including: Duracell Ultra, Duracell Ultra Platinum, Optima and, exclusively at Batteries Plus, X2Power  .

Not sure if you need a new battery for your Infiniti QX80? Our experts find that car & truck batteries last between 3 and 5 years. And your battery likely won't die without a little bit of notice. Below are some signs that tell you when your battery might be on its last legs  . Things like:

  • Difficulty turning over your engine
  • Headlights dim, especially when your vehicle is idling
  • Additional electronics aren't working properly
  • Your battery has a tough time holding a charge
  • You've had to jump your vehicle to get it started

(And a really obvious sign: Your battery appears corroded  , swollen, otherwise disfigured or is giving off any kind of smell. In this case, check in with a service provider ASAP.)

If you're experiencing any of these issues, or your battery is over 3 years old, it's time to test your battery. Where can you have your Infiniti battery tested? Batteries Plus tests batteries in cars, trucks and SUVs for free  . Simply visit your nearest Batteries Plus location. If you end up purchasing a new battery from us, we'll be happy to install it (valid at most locations on most makes and models). Or, for added protection against corrosion, upgrade to Premier Installation Service. There is typically a fee for this service in particular.

Infiniti QX80 FAQs

The battery in your Infiniti QX80 should last somewhere between 3 and 5 years. In order to get the longest life possible, be sure that you drive your vehicle regularly. Other factors that contribute to the length of your battery life are your car maintenance habits and the climate where you live. We all know that extreme cold can be tough on car batteries. But did you know that extreme heat is equally harsh? Our blog called "How to Protect Your Battery Against Extreme Weather  " can tell you more.

Another important way to prolong your battery's lifespan is to periodically check your battery terminals for corrosion. If you do find corrosion, you can clean it off using a battery terminal brush and car battery corrosion cleaner. And as we mentioned above, Batteries Plus also offers premium battery installation at our stores, during which an associate will apply anti-corrosion products to your battery.

The price of a new Infiniti battery will depend on the type of battery you choose. AGM batteries   cost more upfront than flooded batteries. If you pick up an AGM battery, however, there is a good chance you'll save money in the long run, since they last longer than flooded batteries. One thing to note: If your QX80 is currently running on an AGM battery, do not downgrade to a flooded battery, as that can damage your engine. That said, if you're currently running on a flooded battery, upgrading to AGM is okay.

When an Infiniti QX80 battery starts to fail, there is usually a drop off in performance. You'll probably notice that you have a harder time turning over the engine. Having to regularly jump-start   your car is another indication that your battery is bad. You may also notice that your headlights appear dimmer or that heated seats, power windows and other electronics don't work as well as they used to. Of course, you're always welcome to stop in at Batteries Plus for a free battery test. It takes less than 2 minutes and your peace of mind is worth it.
