RELiON InSight 48V Lithium-Ion Batteries

Please be advised that RELiON Battery, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), has issued a voluntary safety recall for certain InSight Series® 48V Lithium-ion batteries (Model No. 48V030-GC2) manufactured between May 19, 2021, and November 2, 2022.

Hazard: The affected batteries can overheat, posing a potential thermal burn and fire hazard.

What You Should Do:

  1. Stop Use Immediately: If you own an InSight 48V battery, immediately stop using it.
  2. Check Your Serial Number: Locate the serial number on the label on the side of the battery. The affected serial number ranges are:
    • RB48300020210314057 through RB48300020210314729
    • RB48300020210330001 through RB48300020210330715
    • RB48300020210507012 through RB48300020221016550
  3. Contact RELiON for a Free Repair: If your battery falls into these ranges, contact RELiON Battery to receive a pre-paid shipping container for a free repair.
