The price of a replacement battery for your Ford pickup will vary depending on the type of battery you choose. Flooded batteries are more affordable upfront. If you choose an AGM battery though, the battery will likely last longer, which can end up saving you money in the long run.
Experts agree, the average lifespan of a Ford F100 pickup battery is 3-5 years. The life of your battery will depend on how well you care for it. Be sure to keep your battery charged up by driving a minimum of 30 minutes a week at highway speeds. If your Ford sits idle for more than a few weeks, use a battery maintainer to maintain its charge. You should also regularly check the battery terminals and clean off any corrosion you may find.
