Subaru Legacy FAQs

We understand that finances are important for everyone, that's we provide high quality car batteries at great prices. A new battery for your Legacy will run you anywhere from $180 for a Duracell Ultra Flooded up to $250 for an Optima AGM battery. Brands and styles will vary depending on your model year and trim; use our fitment finder to see what's available for your vehicle.

This information may vary depending on the model year, trim and engine size of your Legacy but a common BCI Group Size seen in Subaru Legacys are the BCI Group 25. Both AGM and Flooded batteries are seen in Legacys. If you are unsure which battery your car takes you can look in the owner's manual or pop the hood and take a look at what's installed. You can also use our handy fitment finder to see exactly which batteries fit your car. It's important to remember that you cannot downgrade your battery from AGM to flooded if your car came with AGM from the factory.

Most batteries in your Legacy will last 3-5 years when they are properly cared for. However, if you just hop in the car every day and neglect your battery by not regularly cleaning the terminals and checking for and removing corrosion, you will find yourself replacing it much sooner.
