Common battery sizes for Ford Rangers are the BCI Group 48 and the 59. Now, this can vary depending on the model year and trim level and it is always a good idea to look in the manual or under the hood for what is currently equipped. Some newer models do have a requirement to use absorbed glass mat (AGM) batteries, please use our fitment finder to find the best battery for your truck.
How long a battery will last will depend on its use. Most Ford Ranger batteries will last 3-5 years if they are taken care of. However, if you neglect your battery and don't regularly clean the terminals to remove any corrosion, it could need replacing much sooner.
Prices will vary depending on the year and trim of your Ranger. Replacement batteries will range in price from around $180 for a Duracell flooded up to $350 for premium X2Power AGM. All Ranger batteries come with free replacement warranties that range anywhere from 2 to 4 years.
