The Ford Bronco was first introduced in 1965 and was the first vehicle in the United States to use the "Sport Utility Vehicle" designation. The Bronco was wildly popular during its long tenure but it was eventually discontinued in the mid 1990s. The Bronco has since returned and reimagined for the 21st century. The new Bronco features the latest technology and off-road equipment to make it a rugged and extremely capable SUV.

Ford Bronco FAQs

In most of the older Ford Broncos you'll find the BCI Group Size 65 battery being used and in the new models (2021 and later), the 94R. It is important to verify what you need before making a purchase by looking under the hood, in the owner's manual or using our fitment finder.

Broncos are often used off-road and can take a beating which will affect battery life. Bronco batteries will generally last around 3-5 years even when you perform little maintenance on the battery. If you do perform routine maintenance to check for corrosion and remove it from the battery terminals with a terminal cleaner, the battery can last you much longer.

Batteries for your 2021 and newer Bronco will range anywhere from around $205 to $360 for the premium X2Power AGM battery. Your older generation Broncos, Pre-1996, will run you between $185 for a Duracell Ultra Flooded and around $375 for the premium X2Power AGM battery.
