In the late 1960s Dodge released the Charger. The Charger was a little late to the party being several years behind other American releases of larger muscle cars. Up until 2006 the charger had a two-door coupe with big engines and lots of power. In 2006 the Charger was relaunched as a four-door sedan to much chagrin. The Charger has been a popular choice for law enforcement with the second set of doors.

Dodge Charger Battery FAQs
Most newer Dodge Charger models will use the BCI Group Size 94R. While this is the most common, you should always check your Charger's owner's manual battery section for the required size. Use our fitment finder to easily see which batteries are an exact fit for your car.
Replacing your Charger battery shouldn't be an expensive thing. Our Charger batteries range from roughly $200 for a traditional Duracell Ultra flooded battery up to $350 for the premium X2Power AGM battery.
You should expect your battery in your Charger to last around 3-5 years when it's properly cared for. However, neglect your battery by not charging it correctly, not regularly cleaning the battery terminals and checking for and removing corrosion and you will find yourself replacing it much sooner.
The charger, even as a four-door sedan, is a high-performance car. While the majority of the weight is in the engine compartment, batteries are heavy and are sometimes installed in the trunk of the car to create a more even weight distribution.
