What are the 2 Types of Car Batteries?
There are two types of car batteries, flooded and AGM. Flooded batteries are the more affordable of the two battery types, however, they don't last as long as an AGM battery. Flooded batteries are also not completely sealed, which means you may have to perform additional maintenance. This involves monitoring the electrolyte levels inside the battery and occasionally topping the battery off with distilled water.
AGM batteries outperform flooded batteries in most categories. They have additional power, which helps to start your vehicle more reliably in extreme hot and cold climates. AGM batteries are also designed to last longer and charge faster than a flooded battery will. The one downside of an AGM battery is that it will cost you more upfront. Because they last longer, however, many people save money in the long run by investing in an AGM battery.

Chrysler 300 Battery FAQs
A Chrysler 300 takes a standard 12-volt battery, the same as other cars and trucks. Be sure to check whether your vehicle originally came with an AGM battery installed. If so, you need to replace it with another AGM battery. If your car originally had a flooded battery installed, you can replace it with another flooded battery or upgrade it to an AGM battery.
The cost of a new Chrysler 300 battery will depend on the type of battery you get. Flooded batteries are less costly upfront. Since AGM batteries last longer, however, you won't have to replace them as often, which can save you money in the long run.
