The BMW 3 Series has been a staple of the BMW lineup for almost 50 years. First introduced in 1975 and has gone through 7 generations of design and mechanical changes, the 3 Series shows no signs of slowing down. The 328i version of the 3 Series was launched in 1996 to replace the previous version, the 325i. The 328i's run ended in 2018 after 22 years of being one of the most popular high-end sports sedans. The exiting 2018 328i made way for the next generation 3 Series, and we're expecting great things to continue.

BMW 328i Battery FAQs
A new battery for your car shouldn't have to break the bank but it should also be the best. We've got batteries for your 328i that will fit any budget and are also high-quality batteries. If you pop the hood of your 328i for the first time you may be surprised to see that there is no battery under the hood. That's because BMW engineered the 328i to have a more equal weight distribution from front to back so the car handles better in the corners. One very simple way to do this is by moving the heavy battery to the back of the car to counter the heavy engine in the front of the car.
In most 328i's you'll find the BCI Group Size 94R or 48 battery being used. It's important to note that while most 328i's are similar, this can vary depending on the year of your model year and trim level and it's always best to verify what you need before making a purchase by looking under the hood, in the owner's manual or using our fitment finder.
