Customer Service Goes a Long Way

District Wide Solutions For All Schools
Pat Myer, Director of Buildings and Grounds with the Unified School District of De Pere, located just outside of Green Bay, WI, has maintained an ongoing relationship with Batteries Plus for 15 years now. According to Pat, this relationship is based on communication and continuity.
Over the years, Pat and his Batteries Plus sales rep, AJ Looker, have completed multiple projects together. From gymnasium lighting, to interior hallway and cafeteria lighting, to scrubber sweeper batteries, fire panels and security lighting, exterior lighting, and even AA and AAA batteries, Pat and AJ have accomplished it all. "I use Batteries Plus district wide to supply the district with ballasts for all my various fixtures in the building. I also use them for my lighting…We also use them for all our end of use batteries…They also supply us with our automotive and equipment batteries for the grounds department…You'll find Batteries Plus under most anything in the district that has batteries."
How It Started
It all started with Pat seeking a solution for ballasts, lighting, and batteries. He wanted to upgrade the lights while retrograding the replacements. To make sure the correct light was installed that was comfortable to the eyes and conducive to a learning environment, AJ demoed the lights for Pat. He also made sure that the lights were cost effective for the high maintenance replacements because of the limited resource allocation to many things across the district. This level of customer service is one example of why Pat has continued to do business with Batteries Plus over the years.
A Total Solution
The largest project that AJ has helped Pat with would be the elementary school exterior lighting. This included complete lighting layouts, and lighting for the walkways and parking lot. AJ not only made sure that the proper light levels were met, but he also provided multiple options to ensure the lights worked with the energy advisor and worked to ensure the school would receive the appropriate energy rebates.
While each project is different, they generally start the same. Pat would come to AJ with a problem and some constraints, and in return, AJ would identify pain points, and bring back a total solution, including providing the energy advisor with information on the project to save Pat time - the only thing left for Pat to do would be to find an installer.
The Test of Time
