The Maxima is Nissan's flagship sedan. Featuring a sporty look and feel with a powerful engine to get you where you need to be quickly. The Maxima wasn't always the sleek, aggressive looking car it is today, in the 90's it was a boxy four-door sedan with a big engine. The unimpressive look didn't stop it from becoming a popular choice for street car enthusiasts, a group that propelled the car to its status today. Today it still has that powerful engine and sporty drivetrain but it also has the technology and safety features that you'd expect from a 21st century car.

Whether you're out cruising the strip or driving into the office, you shouldn't have to worry about your Maxima's battery. Batteries Plus carries a large selection of high-quality automotive batteries for your Maxima from highly rated brands like Duracell Ultra, Optima and even our own exclusive brand X2Power. It's important to know which battery your Maxima needs, check the owner's manual, look under the hood or use our fitment finder to make sure you don't use the wrong size battery  .

Not sure where to start to find the right battery you need for your Maxima? Check out our helpful article "How Do I Know Which Car Battery Fits My Car?  " where we walk you through different ways to make sure you know the exact fit battery for your vehicle.

Nissan Maxima FAQs

A new battery for your car shouldn't have to break the bank. We've got batteries for your Maxima that will fit any budget. From the Duracell Ultra Group 35 Flooded battery at around $180 all the way to the ultra premium X2Power Premium AGM Group 35 battery at $350. Whatever budget you have, we have a battery for you.

In normal conditions with little maintenance, your Nissan Maxima battery should last between 3 and 5 years. However, this can be extended by regularly checking for and removing corrosion from the battery terminals with a terminal cleaner and a wire brush. Help keep your battery healthy by reducing short trips so the alternator has time to recharge the battery fully as you drive. If you ignore your battery and just let corrosion build up or don't let the battery charge properly you could be replacing it much earlier than expected.

In many Nissan Maxima's you'll find either the BCI Group Size 35 and 47 battery being used. It's important to note that this can vary depending on the year of your Maxima and it's always best to verify what you need before making a purchase by looking under the hood, in the owner's manual or using our fitment finder.
