The Chevrolet Avalanche was a relatively short-lived truck with a huge fanbase. The SUV boom of the early 2000s was in full swing. Gas was cheap and big trucks were the popular thing. The Avalanche took advantage of this in two ways, it was both a pickup truck and an SUV in one package. The key to making this unique combination work in the Avalanche is the midgate. The midgate allowed the driver to load the bed and expand the ed storage into the passenger compartment. It was only around for a little over 10 years but's legacy will live on forever.

Replacing your Avalanche battery shouldn't be an expensive thing. Our Avalanche batteries range from roughly $180 for a traditional Duracell Ultra flooded battery up to $350 for the high-end X2Power AGM or Optima batteries.
Chevy Avalanches will generally use the BCI Group Size 48 or 78 battery. While these are the most common, you should always check your Avalanche's owner's manual battery section for the required size. Use our fitment finder to easily see which batteries are an exact fit for your car.
If you are noticing some of these behaviors in your Avalanche, you may need to bring it by a Batteries Plus for free testing and/or a replacement battery. Poor starting performance in cold weather, dimmer headlights or flickering lights when powering on electronic accessories or your battery is 5 years old or older.
