Spot and Flood Lights

Find the right bulb, the first time, from Batteries Plus Bulbs. We offer the greatest selection of spot, flood and PAR light bulbs for all of your lighting needs. Spot and flood lights, often referred to as PAR lights or lamps, can be incandescent, halogen or HID. Each has a precision-pressed glass reflector lamp that reflects light coming from the filament, much like a parabola. PAR lamps rely on both the internal reflector and prisms in the lens for a controlled or focused light beam. These bulbs are extremely bright and can be used for accurate controlling of light levels. Halogen PAR bulbs have a mirrored reflector to control the light. Halogen PAR bulbs are often specified for task and accent lighting.

Spot and flood lights can be used indoor and outdoor and are designed to provide a variety of beam spread. At Batteries Plus Bulbs, we offer lights in the following colors: blue, green, yellow, orange, red and more in both 120V and 130V options.

PAR Sizes

PAR (Parabolic Aluminized Reflector) is actually the description of the lamp or bulb that goes inside a PAR can. The can is the container where the PAR lamp or bulb goes. The number beside PAR is a measurement that describes the diameter of the PAR lamp or bulb. To figure out the diameter, divide the number next to PAR by eight. For example, if you have a PAR64, divide 64 by 8 and you will have an 8-inch diameter lamp. PAR56 has a 7-inch diameter lamp, PAR46 has a 5.75-inch diameter lamp, and so on. The diameter of the PAR lamp is useful to know when ordering a replacement lamp. We stock Par16, Par20, Par30 short and long neck, Par38, Par56, Par64 and much more.
