No, we do not require prior technical knowledge. Batteries Plus has a comprehensive training program to set you on a successful business path. New franchisees participate in a 3-week program at our Quest Training Center and a 3-step commercial sales training program. Our franchise business opportunity also includes two additional weeks in your store for field training. The extensive training program focuses on products, systems and technical skills. Franchise owners and store managers are required to attend training. We offer the knowledge needed for everything to do with the battery plus the service, sales, and operational knowledge to go with it.

The growing demand for portable devices with increasing sophistication creates an increasing demand for batteries. Our franchise business opportunities offer assistance from departments at the corporate office that focus on the point-of-sale system, product knowledge and bid support, financial goal setting, marketing, merchandising, buying and logistics, and training. Relative to systems, our franchise retail stores use point-of-sale software, which assists in inventory and customer database management. Sales data is collected centrally through a wide area network where it is evaluated by category managers and buyers at the corporate office. As a small business franchise, we will work with our entrepreneurs to offer the needed tools necessary.

Our web-based intranet system called I-Site provides timely information regarding all the fundamental tools necessary to successfully operate your business. The site offers comprehensive topic pages on products, support materials, vendor information, and classifieds. There are also discussion forums available to post messages to reach out to other franchise owners. Additional opportunities to meet and talk first hand with the corporate office and other franchise owners include regional workshops, teleconferences, and our national convention.

The Real Estate Department identifies and visits retail sites in each market until negotiations are finalized. This is a critical component to start a franchise retail store and we’ll work with you all the way.
